Facilities in MIQ:
The mosque buidling can accommodate a maximum of 3,300 jemaah at any one time. This is possible through the use of rooms and spaces designed to be multi-functional. The following are brief descriptions of the facilities throughout the mosque building:

Level 1 (Groundfloor)
  • Main Prayer Hall - carpeted i'ktikaf area occupying the 'front' where the frontlines of the congregation are filled. Events like syarahans, forums, 'open lessons' conducted by male asatizah are held here, with overflow of the audience in the lobby, car park and level 2 spaces. It is equipped with a mounted controllable camera for broadcast throughout the building. <Click for 360 deg view, Quicktime required>
  • Lobby - the first area to be filled for overflow of the congregation. It is also utilised for 'open' lessons and syarahans conducted by female asatizah, and as an area for conducting 'limited capacity' programs like agency-run haj courses, open air workshops, and even mini-hi-teas. This area is also suitable for setting up a stage and a few rows of seating for official ceremonies. <Click for 360 deg view, Quicktime required>
  • Car Park Area - Although functional as a car park for 8 cars, most of the time it is used for overflow of jemaah (Jum'ah solat, tarawih, eid, etc.), and audience seating area mainly for Muslimah during large gatherings. This is also an assembly area for Madrasah and Taska students. The Ji-Mart occupies a corner of this area, while miscellaneous additional stalls opened at peak periods are strategically located at the areas surrounding the main entrance. Other uses include area for additional seatings for a formal audience setup requiring a stage, meal-eating (iftar, tahlil, etc.) and open air exhibitions.
  • Counter office - dedicated enclosed space designed to be a one-stop information and payment centre. Opening hours are 8.30 am to 10.30 pm everyday including Sundays and public holidays, closing momentarily only during solat times. The office is totally non-operational to the jemaah only on the first two days of Shawwal.
  • Wash (Wudhu) Area/Gents Toilet - this area covers the 'rear' end, with 24 taps for wudhu in the main portion within the building, and an additional 15 along the wall just outside, all for men. Adjacent to the main wudhu area are the gents toilet, and a special toilet for the disabled. Lockers and shelves are lined along the corridors for jemaah use.
  • Jemaah Outdoor Rest Area - this is the space between the wash area and the perimeter to the side of the main entrance. Cafe-style tables and chairs with shades are put up during peak periods for the jemaah to sit and even have their meals.
