The Youth Management Board of Al-Istiqamah Mosque was formed on 9th of September 1999 under the name Arrijalul Istiqamah. It was formally restructured for the two-year term in 2001. It has a strength of 180 members between the age range of 10-35 years old. Arrijalul Istiqamah is the Young Muslim Wing (YMW) under the Young Muslim Secretariat (YMS/MUIS). 'Arrijal' as the Youth group are known was taken from Surah Al-Ahzab verse 23 means "People who meets the promise of Allah consistently". Arrijalul Istiqamah has since been actively involved in orgainsing and participating in cluster, national and regional programmes. By having diverse activities, Arrijal Committee plans to pull youth of all ages and interest to make the mosque not just a place of worship but a place of life-learning experience.
