MARRIAGE PREPARATION COURSE (2006) 
(Pre-Marriage - Kursus Belaian Kasih)

Marriage Preparation Course is held at Masjid Kampung Siglap in the support of the Ministry of Community, Youth & Sports (MCYS).  The new course is conducted in an interactive manner based on adult “Experiential Learning”. It is designed to provide couples with a good start in their marriages. The goal is to enables couples to evaluate their current relationship and discover ways to reinforce the bonds of marriages.

The scheduled dates for the course are as follows. 
Participants are to choose which month they wished to come for the course :

1) Jan 2006 (Malay):  29th, 30th & 31st.

2) Apr 2006 (Malay): 15th,16th & 22nd, 23rd.

3) Jun 2006 (English): 17th, 18th & 24th, 25th.

4) Sep 2006 (Malay): 2nd, 3rd & 9th, 10th.

Time: Saturdays: 1430hrs – 1830hrs      Sundays: 0900hrs – 1830hrs

            Public Holiday: 0900hrs - 1830hrs

Fees: Registration: $15.00       Course: $100.00

Certification: 
A certificate will be issued after the Pre-Marriage Course. It is valid for 3 years. After which, the participant would have to repeat the course

2. COUNSELLING  SERVICES                                                       

Our counsellors seek to establish a therapeutic relationship aims at assisting individuals and families to overcome life crises and difficulties more effectively through providing counselling. We provide counselling in marital or relationship conflicts, domestic disputes, family violence, parenting difficulties and behavioural problems of children and youth.

3. PUBLIC TALKS

FDC serves as an effective avenue to reach out to the general public for the purpose of developmental and preventive work. Public Talks targeted at different audience groups, seek to enhance the relationships of family members through educating the public on the various stages of family growth and different developmental stages which an individual undergoes.
